If you're not a big tech nerd, you will be overwhelmed by the complexity of USB-C hub. Our uHUB P5+ series hub highlight the simplest needs for daily basis. For Ultrabook users to extend their laptops, our P5+ series has been back to basics.

The aluminium housing of uHUB P5+ provide a premium look and feel. The ultra-slim shape enables user to grab it easily with one hand. There are six models supporting HDMI 2.0 output, USB PD 100W charging, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Ports (5gbps) and SD card reader alternatively. This series can satisfy laptop users' most daily needs.

Before choosing which uHUB P5+ models to purchase, you have to consider the following:

1. Micro USB Charging

If your laptop is connected with high-voltage devices such as printer, scanners, or large external hard drives, you will need a USB-C hub with external power. In this case, look for Micro USB charging port in a USB hub. The Micro USB port draws power from power adapter directly. It can give every device connected to it the maximum voltage; therefore, to support stable performance of the high-voltage devices.

2. 100W USB-C PD Power

For Ultrabook with only 1 USB-C port, connecting USB-C hub means sacrificing the charging ports. While USB-C hub draws power from the computer’s current to power peripheral devices, the battery consumption rate could be faster than usual. Therefore, you may need to look for a USB-C hub with PD charging port.

3. HDMI 4K@30Hz

Comparing to DP, HDMI is commonly equipped on HDTV. Therefore, having a HDMI port enables the ability to extend your laptop into an external monitor.

4. SD Card Reader

If you require a memory card slot, check the hub’s specifications to see what size card it takes. While some may comes with only a Micro SD card slot, our uHUB P5+ series equips with both Micro SD and standard SD card slots.

5. The numbers of USB-A ports

Our uHUB P5+ series provides 5Gbps on all USB-A ports which is currently the most common specification of USB-A speed. If you have multiple USB-A devices plugging in, such as a mouse, keyboard and external hard drive, it will require a minimum of three USB ports.
